Since 1996 we have been hosting an annual
4th of July Croquet party in our
back yard. Between 40 & 100 people come to each one, and they bring their best
Cooking.
We spend the day eating and playing croquet. At
the end of the evening a fireworks display is enjoyed by all (weather and
law permitting).
We try to have something special and different each time. In
2000 we had
Hawiian ice snow cones
in 18 flavors, and
Kool Kollars for all
guests. In 2001 we Made
Harry Potter buttons
for all. Each year, along with our friend
Geoff, and
Dockers the Wonder Dog (both seen below), we
build new theme wicket(s). We started in 1995 with the Clown.
In 1996 we built the Betties and
Bill the Donkey.
We have built at least one new wicket each year since (Except 2003, When we
painted the house). The wicket for 2001 was
Harry Potter and his Nimbus Two Thousand Quidditch Broom.
The wicket for 2002 was
The Lighthouse.
NEW for 2004 is
Alan's Wicket. This year we will also have
BLTs.
You will find pictures of all of them, and
information about the party on this website.
Enjoy!
